Coach Caitlin Schmidt is entering her 16th year in education, 2nd year at Lanier High School as a Health and Physical Education Teacher and 2nd year as the Varsity Head Fastpitch Softball Coach. Coach Schmidt comes from Cambridge High School in Milton, GA where she was a part of the 2016 AAAAAA State Championship team as well as a top 5 finish in 2017 as an Assistant Coach.
Coach Schmidt graduated from Sebring High School in Sebring, FL in 2000. She continued her education at Hillsborough Community College and South Florida State College where she was a scholarship softball and volleyball player. After suffering a season ending rotator cuff injury, Coach Schmidt transferred to the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education and a minor in Athletic Coaching.
When Coach Schmidt isn't on the clay, you can find her volunteering with the Junior League of Atlanta, participating in philanthropic events with the Greater Atlanta Alpha Delta Pi Alumnae Association and cheering on her beloved Atlanta Braves and Alabama Crimson Tide.
Coach Schmidt is married to Andrew Schmidt whom is a teacher and football coach at North Gwinnett High School. They have two fur babies named Ricky & Gibby.

Junior Varsity Coach
Coach Emily Draper is starting her 7th year of teaching, her 5th at Lanier High School where she teaches Special Education. Coach Draper is the Head JV Softball Coach, Assistant Varsity Softball Coach, and Head Girls Golf Coach.
Coach Draper graduated from North Gwinnett High School in 2008. After high school, she continued her education and softball career at Georgia State University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in education and minored in special education. She is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree from Kennesaw State University in special education.
When Coach Draper is not completing schoolwork or coaching, she enjoys spending time with her family and crafting.
Coach Draper is married to Ian Draper who teaches special education at South Gwinnett High School. They live in Lawrenceville with their dogs Bond and Freya.
The 2019 season is Coach Juneau’s second season as an assistant JV Softball Coach at Lanier High School. Coach Juneau graduated from Kennesaw State University in May 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in History Education and immediately accepted his first teaching job at LHS.
Coach Juneau began his high school baseball career at Airline High School in Louisiana before transferring to Houston County High School in Georgia. While attending Houston County High, Coach Juneau focused his baseball career on local leagues and travel ball including head coaching his own 17U team. During his senior year of high school, he focused most of his time on obtaining his Private Pilot’s License with ambitions of joining the military, but found that teaching was his true calling. Teaching also allowed him to return to the diamond as a coach and mentor.
Coach Juneau currently resides in Cumming, GA.
